A ceremony was held in Da Nang on Monday to honour 6 groups and 43 individuals for their active involvement in post-storm recovery activities in Ha Noi and Hai Phong.

Previously, on September 9, the municipal Department of Construction sent 2 teams, consisting of 22 officials and workers along with 3 specialised vehicles, from the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company to assist with cutting, pruning and clearing trees at the request of Ha Noi and Hai Phong.

On September 10, due to the large number of fallen trees, including large ones, in Ha Noi, the municipal Department of Construction continued to call on and received the support of 5 private companies specialising in green tree pruning in Da Nang.

Accordingly, an additional team of 21 people and 4 cranes was established. The team members were workers of the Dai Ngan Greenery Company Limited, the Han Loc Construction Joint Stock Company, the Ky Nguyen Greenery Company Limited, the Thien Loc Phat Company Limited, the Sau Khoa Company Limited, and the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the municipal epartment of Construction Phung Phu Phong emphasised that, with the tradition of "mutual love and support" and "good leaves cover torn leaves'", all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire construction industry of the city promptly and proactively shared difficulties and supported people and localities in the North.

At the same time, they donated more than VND 512 million in cash for the northern provinces, contributing to helping needy people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
