Da Nang leaders visit and offer donations to typhoon-hit localities
Groups of Da Nang’s officials visited and offered donations to some northern localities on Tuesday in an effort to help address the aftermath of the typhoon and floods.

During their meeting with leaders of Quang Ninh Province, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang, expressed his condolences and deep sympathy for the significant losses, both in terms of lives lost and homes destroyed by the typhoon. He also wished the province to soon overcome the consequences and stabilise people's lives.
Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province Nguyen Van Hoi thanked the sentiments of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang. He said that the entire political system of Quang Ninh Province, together with the armed forces and people, has been making every effort to deal with the consequences of storm No. 3, stabilise people's lives, and resume production, business and other activities.
On the occasion, Da Nang gave a donation of VND 3 billion to Quang Ninh Province to help the locality overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.

Also on the same day, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang visited Hai Duong Province and highly appreciated the efforts of Hai Duong government and people in implementing prevention and control measures before the storm made landfall, contributing to minimising the damage.
On behalf of the government and people of Da Nang, Chairman Thang presented VND 1 billion in donation to Hai Duong Province to partially overcome the aftermath of the storm.
In reply, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich thanked Da Nang for its concern, sharing and support. She affirmed that the province is currently making efforts to overcome the damage caused by the storm, ensuring safety and stabilising people's lives.

In Hung Yen Province, Chairman of Da Nang People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang said that in the work of natural disaster prevention, protecting people's lives is the most important task.
He added that the government and people of Da Nang always shared and sympathised with the heavy losses of people in Hung Yen Province and some typhoon-affected northern localities.
With the spirit of solidarity and sharing difficulties, the government and people of Da Nang always support to local people, especially farmers who suffered losses in remote areas.
On the occasion, Chairman Ngo Xuan Thang handed over VND1 billion in financial aid to Hung Yen Province to help the locality partially overcome the damage after storm No. 3.
