In his remarks at the Congress of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in Da Nang for 2024-2029 term, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung praised and acknowledged the positive contributions of the association over the past time.

He asked the association to promote the role of a bridge connecting the Vietnamese community abroad; as well as widely publicise the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws to Vietnamese people abroad.

Chairman Trung requested the association to introduce overseas intellectuals with high professional qualifications and economic conditions to invest in the city; as well as organise meetings and exchanges on the occasion of overseas Vietnamese returning to their homeland to celebrate Tet and attend important events of the city.

The association was urged to increase many forms of encouraging patriotism and national pride in the overseas Vietnamese community; and attracting overseas intellectual resources to contribute to the city’s socio-economic development.

At the Congress, 31 members were elected to the Executive Board of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in Da Nang for the 2024-2029 term. Ms. Le Thi Thai Thanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Dacotex Da Nang Company Limited, was voted as Chairwoman of the Association.
