Authorities in Da Nang’s Son Tra District have issued a ban on vehicles entering the Son Tra Peninsula starting from 5:00pm on September 18 on safety grounds.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tra District assigned the Chief of the district-level Department of Public Security to implement blockades in flooded areas, deep flooded areas, areas with rapid water flow, and areas at risk of landslides in order to prevent people from entering dangerous areas.

At the same time, the focus is on coordinating with the district’s Military Command, the Tho Quang Ward People's Committee, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, and related functional forces to prohibit people and vehicles from travelling on Hoang Sa Street (except public service vehicles).

Specifically, multiple barricades have been set up on a section of Hoang Sa Street right behind the entrance to the Linh Ung Pagoda. Traffic is temporarily suspended from 5:00 pm on September 18 until further notice.

As for accommodation establishments on the Son Tra peninsula, if there is a need for guests to check-in or check-out, they must register the specific license plate numbers and the number of guests with the Son Tra District Police Department, as well as make commitments to ensuring the safety of people and vehicles. The travel time is between 7:00am and 5:00pm daily in safe weather conditions.
