Da Nang's Son Tra Peninsula closed to visitors due to storm Trami
Authorities in Da Nang’s Son Tra District have announced to temporarily close the Son Tra Peninsula to visitors as the city is struggling with torrential rain due to the influence of storm No.6, internationally known as Trami.
Accordingly, checkpoints have been set up at flooded or deeply flooded areas, and areas at risk of landslides in order to prevent people from entering dangerous areas.
At the same time, the focus is on coordinating with the district’s Military Command, the Tho Quang Ward People's Committee, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, and related functional forces to prohibit people and vehicles from travelling to the peninsula (except public service vehicles).
Specifically, multiple barricades have been installed on a section of Hoang Sa Street between its intersection with Le Van Luong and a road leading to the Son Tra Mountain; the road leading to the Son Tra - Ngu Hanh Son Inter-District Forest Protection Department; and a military concrete road.
Traffic is temporarily suspended from 5:00 pm on October 26 until further notice.
As for accommodation establishments on the Son Tra Peninsula, if there is a need for guests to check-in or check-out, they must register the specific license plate numbers and the number of guests with the Son Tra District Department of Public Security, as well as make commitments to ensuring the safety of people and vehicles.
