Implementing Directive No. 52-CT/TW from the Central Committee of the Communist Party regarding the strengthening of the Party's leadership in improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial zones and export processing zones, local authorities and trade unions are focusing on enhancing the cultural and spiritual life of workers while promoting knowledge and understanding among union members and workers.

In May 2024, the first television game show dedicated to union members and workers in the city officially launched nationwide, titled “Happy - Healthy After Work”. According to the Department of Propaganda - Women's Union of the Da Nang Labour Federation, the participants are union members and workers from grassroots trade unions. Each episode features three teams from three different grassroots unions, with each team comprising four members. The programme includes segments such as "Self-introduction," "Who is right, who is wrong," and “Healthy - Skilled - Happy Workers,” alongside “Witty Cheerleaders” and “Gifts for Workers.” In 2024, 16 episodes were filmed and broadcast, featuring 48 grassroots unions. Each episode runs for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, airing twice a month.

The Vice President of the Da Nang Labour Federation, Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Ha, stated that to implement the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Da Nang’s Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term regarding the care and enhancement of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, the Labour Federation has collaborated with Da Nang Radio and Television to organise the television game show “Happy - Healthy After Work.” This serves as a platform for workers to showcase their talents, professional skills, legal knowledge, and social responsibilities. It aims to present and commend the image of union members and workers in this dynamic and creative era, fostering confidence and aspiration, encouraging diligent work, and promoting a beautiful lifestyle connected to the union. Furthermore, it contributes to enhancing the cultural and spiritual life, political stance, patriotism, and work ethic of union members, while aiding in the development of human resources necessary for the city's construction and development.

To enhance the spiritual life and connect union members and workers, various practical and meaningful activities have been implemented by the trade unions in the city. In June 2024, the Trade Union of the Da Nang High-Tech Zone and Industrial Parks established two cultural activity points at Foster Electronics Co., Ltd in Da Nang, Hoa Cam Industrial Park, and Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park. The cultural activity points are set up in common areas within the companies, featuring a display area for books and newspapers, legal propaganda bulletin boards, relaxation seating, and photo zones. To ensure these activity points are fully equipped, the Labour Federation donated two Bluetooth-connected portable speakers, while the “Companion Books Club” contributed 400 books.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Da Nang High-Tech Zone and Industrial Parks, establishing cultural activity points within companies not only records the formation and activities of the grassroots trade unions but also serves as a venue for gathering and connecting union members and workers during collective activities. Additionally, it provides a space for relaxation and rejuvenation for workers before returning to their tasks. Mr. Bui Minh Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union at Foster Electronics Co., Ltd in Da Nang, mentioned that to enhance the effectiveness of the cultural activity point, the Trade Union has arranged seating and reading materials for workers to relax and unwind. They regularly post new information and announcements and organise monthly birthday celebrations for union members.

In companies, especially those with a large workforce, grassroots trade unions continue to organise cultural performances, artistic exchanges, sporting events, and group outdoor activities. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan, Chairman of the Trade Union of Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd in Da Nang, with over 80% of the workforce being female, the Trade Union hosts the annual “Miss Mabuchi Motor” contest to provide a platform for female workers to showcase their beauty, talents, and strength. This initiative allows all workers to interact, bond, and create a vibrant and positive competitive spirit, bringing joy and motivation to their work. Similarly, the Trade Union at Murata Manufacturing Viet Nam Co., Ltd holds annual artistic performances, creating opportunities for workers to demonstrate their artistic talents, promoting entertainment, interaction, and enhancing the cultural and spiritual lives of officials, workers, and employees.
