Speaking at the 6^th Congress of the Da Nang Peace Committee for the 2024-2029 term on Monday, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highly appreciated the results achieved over the past term.

She asked the Peace Committee to mobilise people to maintain solidarity, friendship, and cooperative and peaceful relations with international partners and friends, as well as coordinate with relevant units to advise the city's leaders on people-to-people diplomacy, in the next term.

In the 2024-2029 term, the city’s Peace Committee will continue to establish and develop relationships with partners; cooperate with people's organizations for peace in the region and the world; and mobilise and attract the attention and participation of individuals, organizations, and peace-loving forces inside and outside the city.

Heed will be on hosting conferences and seminars on the topic of peace; ensuring solidarity, friendship, humanitarian cooperation, environmental protection, hunger eradication and poverty reduction; and organising cultural and artistic exchange activities with art troupes from countries around the world.

Twenty eight candidates were selected for the Executive Board of the Da Nang Peace Committee for the 2024-2029 term. Mr. Le Van Trung, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city was re-elected Chairman of the municipal Peace Committee for the 2024-2029 term.
