The Deputy Director of the city’s Information and Communications Department, Mr Tran Van Thach, said at a recent press conference that the new online portal, available in English and Vietnamese, would allow residents and visitors to conveniently post their opinions and suggestions, as well as to give their complaints on urban, environmental, administrative and tourism-related services.

The Department also launched an app for public bus routes (Dana Bus) that can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play stores.

Using the app, visitors and commuters can easily search for the correct bus service and route in the city.

Mr Thach said users could send all their problems related to security, tourism, public disorders, environmental pollution, and administrative procedures to the local relevant agencies via the website.  Issues will be dealt with within 3 working days.

Mr Thach said the page had already received 600 opinions and complaints from local residents and visitors, of which 98% were resolved within 7 days.

Da Nang was the first city in Viet Nam to offer free wireless internet, with a maximum of 20,000 connections at a time for locals and tourists on major streets in the city, including residential quarters, schools and beaches.
