During peak hours, between 6.40am and 7.40am, and between 5.00pm and 6.00pm daily, all road users will be banned from making direct left-turns from Tran Phu into the bridge.  In addition, they will also be prohibited from travelling along 7.5m-wide frontage roads, at both sides of a tunnel taking Tran Phu under the busy junction with Le Duan.

Instead, vehicles on Tran Phu must go through the tunnel, turn right into the whole Phan Dinh Phung-Yen Bai-Le Duan route, and then use the Han River Bridge or the right frontage road allowing traffic heading towards the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

To go to Le Duan, road users on Tran Phu will be required to only use the right frontage road, and then make direct right-turns.  Meanwhile, to go to Bach Dang, they must use the left frontage road, and then turn left into a connecting one-way road off Bach Dang paralleling the Han River Bridge.

Except for the peak hours mentioned above, vehicles will still be permitted to travel in line with the existing traffic arrangements.
