Huong Com Restaurant - a taste of Ha Noi in Da Nang
Located at 144 Thanh Thuy Street, the Huong Com (Flavour of Green Sticky Rice) Restaurant is a familiar address for Hanoians who are living in Da Nang, or for those who love specialities from the northern region.
The restaurant has simple architecture and spaciousness, with chairs and tables made of bamboo to create a cosy environment for its customers. In addition, it re-creates some of the images of an ancient Vietnamese village, including a small fishpond and banana tree groves.

After finishing their meal, customers are offered a free bowl of the northern region’s tea which is called “nuoc voi” (eugenia tea). The restaurant also offers a wide selection of other drinks including “nuoc gao rang” (roasted brown rice water), “nuoc sau” (iced dracontomelum juice), “nuoc mo” (apricot juice), and “ruou nep” (sticky rice wine). Of these, “nuoc gao rang” is a unique drink made from a secret family recipe passed down for many generations. At present, the Huong Com Restaurant is the only place in the city serving this special drink.
The restaurant opens every day from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, excluding the 1st and 30th days of each lunar month.
