Tu Hai baguettes
Despite its origins in Gia Lai Province’s Pleiku City, the Tu Hai baguette has become very popular with Da Nang’s residents because of its special recipe and its amazing buttery flavour.
One of the most famous Tu Hai baguette stores in the city is at the intersection of Trung Nu Vuong and Nui Thanh streets. It is often crowded with customers in the afternoons, whether it is raining or sunny.

This kind of bread is served with such ingredients as butter, pate, ham, chilli sauce, scallion, and thinly-sliced, unripe papaya. After the ingredients are put into the baguette, a seller will grill the bread in liquid butter in order to make it more sweet-smelling and crisp. It tastes best when it is still hot.
In addition to the above-mentioned store, you can also buy Tu Hai baguettes at the following locations:
- At the intersections of Dinh Tien Hoang and Ong Ich Khiem, and Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Tri Phuong streets
- At the end of Tran Cao Van and Dong Da streets
- On Le Do and Ham Nghi streets.
