Opened for play on 25 March 2016, the Sun Group-developed Ba Na Hills Golf Club is situated at the foot of the Ba Na Hills, just 25 minutes’ drive from Da Nang city centre.

This is the first golf course in the world to have been designed by the English golfer Luke Donald MBE, who in recent times has been ranked the best golfer in the world and is famous for his laser-like accurate shots.

The golf club boasts a stunning clubhouse, a luxurious restaurant, a pro shop, and a driving range.

Every hole and vantage point is framed by a beautiful backdrop of local native forest, and golfers at all levels will enjoy the challenges of the par 72 course, with 5 sets of tee boxes giving players more options.

In particular, the course is open for play in the evenings too, thanks to its international-standard lighting system.  The course is lit until 9.00pm from April to September, and until 10.00pm from October to March.

The course, with its spectacular natural scenery, was named as ‘The World’s Best New Golf Course’ at the World Golf Awards ceremony at the Conrad Algarve Hotel in Portugal last month.

BRG Da Nang Golf Resort

Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang

Just 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre, this international-standard golf course has a classic links design, incorporating many natural duneland features as on the world’s most renowned seaside courses.

Designed by Australian golf legend Greg Norman, the 7,160-yard, 18-hole course features lush green fairways, edged by sandy rough and areas of trees.

It also boasts a top-class clubhouse with amenities such as food and beverage outlets, locker rooms, a pro shop, and an adjacent driving range.

When it first opened in 2010 as the Danang Golf Club, it was immediately recognised as one of the top 15 best new golf courses in the world by the US Golf World Magazine.  In 2011, it was voted the Best New Golf Course in Asia by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly.  In 2013, it was also named ‘Best Golf Course in Viet Nam’ and one of the top ten courses in the Asia-Pacific region.  In particular, in its August 2013 issue, the US Golf World Magazine compared this course to Pinehurst and Pine Valley, which are 2 of the most famous golfing venues in the USA.

Montgomerie Links Vietnam

Dien Ban District, Quang Nam Province

Located near the Non Nuoc Beach, and only 15 minutes by car from Da Nang International Airport, Montgomerie Links is well-placed to capitalise on its close proximity to both the warm, tranquil East Viet Nam Sea, and the striking Marble Mountains which are clearly visible from various points on the course.

Eight-times European Order of Merit winner and 2010 Ryder Cup-winning captain Colin Montgomerie designed the beautifully presented links-style course.

The undulating golf course features windblown dunes, many native trees, and links-style holes which cater for players of all levels, making it one of Asia’s most desirable golf courses.  The 12th hole, framed by the clubhouse in the background, has been described as the best par-5 in Viet Nam.

Most notably, the Forbes Travel Guide 2012 rated Montgomerie Links as one of Asia’s 10 most elite courses.

Laguna Lang Co Golf Club

Phu Loc District, Thua Thien-Hue Province

This par-71 golf course was designed by 6-times Major winner Sir Nick Faldo.  The course can be enjoyed by the most experienced players and beginners alike.  It offers a variety of tees for players of all levels, and measures 6,958 yards from the championship tees and a friendly 5,263 yards from the front tees.

Each hole on the course reveals a character of its own, presenting golfers with a myriad of opportunities for interesting and memorable play.  The par-5 finishing hole is an excellent dog-leg that is sure to excite – and settle many bets along the way to a great round.

The Laguna Lang Co Golf Club was voted ‘the Best New Golf Course in the Asia-Pacific region’ by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly in 2013.
