Having built an international medical service centre in Da Nang, the International Clinic-Hoan My Da Nang Hospital has cared for a total of more than 35,000 patients, of whom 35% were foreigners, since 2011.  This year marked the 6^th anniversary of progressive achievements providing top health care service in the tourism hub in central Viet Nam.

Dr Truong Nguyen Thoai Nhan, Chief of International clinic said the clinic has joined efforts with the Da Nang authorities in boosting top quality of healthcare service for local residents, ex-pats living in the city, along with foreign and domestic visitors over recent years.

“Diseases have increasingly become more complicated recently, and it needs medical service providers with high quality of medical examination and treatment in meeting the demand of tourists and local people in Da Nang, and the central region and Highlands region as a whole.  It’s the reason we did invest in the hospital with more updated technology equipment and hi-quality human resources, experts to provide the best service at international standard or Joint Commission International (JCI),” Nhan said, adding that patients could feel they stay at a ‘hotel hospital’ with the best accommodations and nursing.

“We promise to do all the best in offering international standard medical service and treatment in the city in the next 5-year course.  The hospital always acknowledge on social responsibilities with service, and we keep eye on positive development that the hospital had achieved in the first 6 years,” he said.

Nhan said the hospital offers comprehensive heath care services including the most complicated surgeries and medical treatments for both locals and tourists as well as the foreign community living in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

Da Nang is also at the end of the East-West Economic Corridors, linking with Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Viet Nam, has seen as a favourite destination for domestic and foreign tourists.  The city hosted 5.5 million tourists, of whom 1.67 million were foreigners, in 2016.

In the first half of this year, more than 3.2 million tourists, including 1.23 million foreigners, visited the city.

Promoting a good quality medical service and heal care centre in the city set as a target and standard that a high growth tourism hub has to offer in meeting demands of increasing tourists.  The establishment of the International Clinic-Hoan My Da Nang Hospital has added a significant change in the city’s sustainable socio-economic development as well as rapid progress of local tourism with a ‘green growth’ target.

Medical service for tourists

Health Insurance increase

The International Clinic of Hoan My Da Nang Hospital has connected with over 50 domestic and international private insurance units as well as accepted guarantee of almost international insurance companies in the past 6 years.  The hospital also offers an easy way for patients by accepting some kinds of insurance in helping patients reducing cost of the medical examination and treatment, especially hi-tech medical service.

The hospital’s International Insurance Department, guaranteed out-patient and in-patient rates was 41% and 77% respectively between January and July. All patients were consulted the benefit of different insurance cards that they used during treatment and medical check-ups at the hospital.  It means that patients do not have pay much more for the cost of medical examination and treatment with insurance and consultancy and support from the hospital staffs.
