Vietnamese students win golds at Int'l Olympiads
Vietnamese students have shone at International Olympiads on Physics and Chemistry, bringing gold and other medals home.
At the 49th International Physics Olympiad held in Portugal from 21 to 29 July, all five Vietnamese students have won medals, including two golds.
The gold medal winners are 12th graders Nguyen Ngoc Long from Lam Son High School for Gifted Students in Thanh Hoa province and Tran Duc Huy from Ha Noi-Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students.
The others brought home silver and bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese students taking part in the 50th edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad earned one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
The gold medal was carried off by Pham Duc Anh, the 12th grader of High School for Gifted Students, Ha Noi University of Science, Viet Nam National University.
The event took place in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from 19-29 July, with the participation of 304 contestants from 82 countries and territories.
