Many countries have extended condolences to Viet Nam over the death of President Tran Dai Quang.

Cuba declared national days of mourning for the Vietnamese President, while flags will be flown at half-mast at the offices of the administration throughout Thailand in memory of President Tran Dai Quang.

Many heads of state and government from foreign countries have sent their condolences to Viet Nam over the death of President Quang.

In the message, Lao Party and state leader Bounnhang said President Quang’s death is a huge loss to both the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and peoples.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, offered his deepest sympathy to the Vietnamese Government and people for this loss.

Chinese party and state leader Xi Jinping noted President Quang actively promoted the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between the two countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said President Quang always deserves the respect of the Vietnamese people and international friends.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wrote President Quang devoted his utmost to the friendship between Viet Nam and Japan.

The statement from the US President read, “President Quang was a great friend of the US.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said in a statement that he was saddened at the news as he just met President Tran Dai Quang on 11 September, and impressed by his devotion to the country and people of Viet Nam.

Many other countries worldwide have also extended condolences to Viet Nam over the death of the Vietnamese state leader.

Cuba has declared national days of mourning for him on 22 and 23 September.

In Thailand, flags will be flown at half-mast for three days, from 24 -26 September, at the offices of the administration throughout the country in memory of President Tran Dai Quang.
