Vietnamese artist reimagines World Cup songs
With a passion for football from an early age, violinist Trinh Minh Hien has reimagined the two 2022 World Cup songs, “Dreamers” and “Hayya Hayya”, played on violin, guitar, or accordion.
“Dreamers” and “Hayya Hayya” are the two official songs of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and were released by FIFA.
Performed by South Korean singer Jungkook, “Dreamers” topped the iTunes charts in 102 countries and territories after its release.
“Hayya Hayya”, meanwhile, by Trinidad Cardona, Davido, and Aisha, attracted nearly 60 million views on YouTube.
Trinh Minh Hien’s “FIFA World Cup 2022 Themes” music video includes covers of the two theme songs and was completed in record time, just three days after she came up with the idea.
After Japan’s victory over Germany on November 23, she said, she suddenly wanted to make a music video to raise the spirit of Asian teams even further.
Trinh Minh Hien was born in 1980 in Hanoi. She graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2003 and has composed poems and music since she was 20 years old.
