4th German Film Festival

As its contribution to the 4th German Film Festival in Viet Nam, the Da Nang Cinema and Film Distribution Centre will run a festival of German films in the city.

The 8 films and documentaries by famous German filmmakers to be shown are: “Barbara”, “Victor and the Secret of Crocodile Mansion”, “Kaddish for a Friend”, “Animals United - Adventure in Africa”, “Four Days in May”, “Stopped on Track”, “Home for the Weekend”, and “Sound of Heimat - Germany Sings!”.

Buddhist-themed exhibition

A thematic exhibition entitled “The Quintessence of Ancient Vietnamese Buddhist Artifacts” will feature around 150 ancient artifacts which include paintings, sculptures, Buddhist woodblocks, worshipping objects and musical instruments dating back to between the 7th and the 8th centuries, plus others dating from the 19th to early 20th centuries.

Co-organised by the Museum of Da Nang and the Da Nang Buddhist Sangha, the exhibition aims to introduce local residents to the specific characteristics of the Vietnamese Buddhist cultural heritage, thus contributing to preserve, honour and promote our national culture.
