6th Da Nang Cong An (Police) Newspaper Football Tournament

Organised by the Da Nang Cong An Newspaper, this year's event marks the 70th anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Public Security (August 19).

Eight teams are participating, divided into 2 groups:

Group A: the Da Nang and Quang Nam Police departments, the DHC Company, and the Da Nang Transportation and Bus Station Management Company. 

Group B: the city’s branches of the Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank and the Viet Nam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Phu Hoang Transportation and Service Joint Stock Company, and the Da Nang Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department.

Under the competition’s rules, the teams will compete in a round-robin format in the qualifying stages.

Tuong street performance

The Tuong street performances during 2015 will take place every Sunday from mid-July until late September.  Apart from enjoying impressive Tuong performances at the event, visitors will be introduced to Tuong mask drawing art and dress codes.  In addition, they will have the opportunity to take photos in Tuong costumes which will be available for hire at the event.

A nightly musical performance featuring famous local, national and overseas Vietnamese singers.

Traditional musical performances for domestic and foreign visitors

During the hour-long shows, domestic and foreign visitors will be treated to live Vietnamese traditional music, solo performances on traditional musical instruments, colourful-costumed dancers, humorous short sketches, and delightful folk songs.

As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner, Will Cooper, Ludlow Lamonsoff, and Eddie 'The Fire Blaster' Plant saved the world thousands of times - at 25 cents a game in the video arcades.  Now, they're going to have to do it for real.  In the movie, when intergalactic aliens discover video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth using the video games as the models for their assaults.  Now-US President Cooper must call on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders.  Joining them is Lt Col Violet Van Patten, a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.
