USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (16+)

Throughout the World War II, the USS Indianapolis was known as one of the fastest ships in the whole US Navy under the command of Captain McVay.  McVay is ordered to transport a secret weapon developed by the US Government, to Guam.  However, a Japanese submarine under the leadership of Commander Hashimoto surprises the Indianapolis, and launches several torpedoes into the great ship on its way to its destination country.  Of the 1,200 men onboard, only 900 survive the sinking.  Hundreds of sharks surround the men and attack without mercy or provocation.  As the days mount up, and more and more men die, the survivors find a new determination to survive.  However will their sheer be enough?

Shideh and her family live amid the chaos of the Iran-Iraq war, and with Tehran under the constant threat of aerial bombardment.  Her husband is drafted, leaving her to care for their daughter Dorsa alone.  After a missile hits their apartment building, and fails to explode, a neighbor dies under mysterious circumstances and Dorsa’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic.  Shideh finds herself struggling to cling onto what is real and what is not.  Searching for answers, she learns from a superstitious neighbor that the cursed missile might have brought with it Djinn – malevolent Middle-Eastern spirits that travel on the wind.  Convinced that a supernatural force within the building is attempting to possess her daughter Dorsa, Shideh has no choice but to confront these forces if she is to save her daughter and herself.
