Spring Fair

This fair is one of the trade promotion events held annually in the city, and its purpose is to meet the increasing shopping demands of local residents in the days leading up to the Tet Festival.  For sale will be a wide range of goods including food, fashionable clothes, footwear, handicrafts, and electrical appliances.

This small-scale fair features dozens of stands from young local traders.  The stands offer a wide range of food, drinks, and popular fashionable products such as footwear, clothes, cosmetics and bags.

Motul Motorcycle Stunt Fest 2017

Organised by Motul Group, which is a lubricants company, the event is a high quality entertainment show with interactive experiences for participants.  In addition, local fans will be amazed by the performances of two world-renowned professional stunters: Aaron Twite from the USA and Hiroyuki Ogawa from Japan.

Heineken Green Room Music Festival entitled ‘Touch the Music’

This outdoor electronic dance music (EDM) event will feature numerous famous domestic singers, including Minh Hang, Toc Tien, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Soobin Hoang Son, along with some famous DJs.  In particular, there will be four 2.5m-tall super robots representing 4 dimensions of music: Static, Subzero, Pressure and Texture, and special laser and lighting effects.

Photo exhibition entitled ‘Da Nang - A Journey of 20 Years’

The photos showcase the city’s remarkable urban infrastructure developments over the past 20 years.  Included are the building of the beautiful bridges across the Han River, the upgrading of the international airport and sea ports, and the implementation of other key construction works.  They also reflect the city’s significant social, economic, and cultural achievements, including the implementation of the ‘5 No's, 3 Yes's’ campaign and the ‘Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation’ programme.

A total of over 100 impressive photos are on display, taken by 45 local photographers.  They showcase the vivid beauty of the city, and the popular local attractions and entertainment areas.  In addition, they depict some amazing moments from international events held in the city, including the Clipper Race fleet’s arrival in Da Nang in February 2016, and the recent 5thAsian Beach Games.

The exhibition also features over 500 books reflecting the city’s innovative progress over the past 2 decades.

In their opening match of this year’s league season, SHB Da Nang had a 1-0 home win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai last Saturday thanks to a perfect shot by midfielder Vu Phong in the 10th minute.  (See report under Culture - Sports).  The team will next play away to Sai Gon on Saturday.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings.  It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.  Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.

Sleepless (C16)
