Organised by the Da Nang Cong An Newspaper, this year's event marks the 72nd anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Public Security (19 August). Under the competition’s rules, the 12 participating teams will compete in a round-robin format in the qualifying stages.

This magnificent culinary space, with 5 open kitchens representing the 5 elements of ancient oriental philosophy, will offer up to 500 national and international dishes in total. Throughout the programme, there will be arts performances, cooking classes, and exciting eating minigames. The show will be hosted by Pham Tuan Hai who is a culinary expert, a passionate chef, and a Masterchef Viet Nam judge. This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
