Vietnamese films participating in this year’s Festival are being screened at the Le Do Cinema, CGV Vincom

Exhibition of silk paintings

On display are a total of 26 silk paintings by 11 painters from Da Nang, Quang Nam Province and some northern localities.

Displayed silk paintings show off the impressive features of time-honoured traditional Vietnamese arts forms, and these products are deeply imbued with the Oriental style.

A display of 150 original antiquities and photos of Oc Eo Culture

Oc Eo is the name of an archaeological site in Thoai Son District in An Giang Province in the Mekong River Delta.  Based on the artifacts unearthed, archaeologists said that the area used to be a busy port of the kingdom of Phu Nam between the 1st and 7th centuries. They used the term ‘Oc Eo Culture’ to refer to the ancient material culture of the Mekong Delta region.

Apart from enjoying impressive Tuong performances, visitors will be introduced to the art of Tuong mask drawing and its dress codes.  In addition, they will have the opportunity to have their photos taken inTuong costumes which will be available for hire at the event.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings.  It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.  Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
