Cau Ngu (Fish Worshipping) Festival for fishermen
The annual event features many solemn traditional ceremonies and exciting folk games.
The festive activities include ‘ba trao’ (dancing and singing local traditional folk songs) to honour the merits and virtues of the whale, and to show the local fishermen's strong desire for peaceful offshore fishing trips, with bumper catches. In addition, various exciting competitions will be held at the event, including fishing net knitting, tug-of-war, and a coracle race.

Contemporary arts exhibition themed ‘Connection’
The exhibition aims to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and European countries.
On display will be a total of arts works made from various materials by 14 foreign artists who are living and working in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. They come from the UK, France, Russia, the Netherlands, Norway and other European countries.
Opened at 4:30pm on Saturday, 24 March, the event will run until 15 April

Tuong street performance
Apart from enjoying impressive Tuong performances, visitors will be introduced to the art of Tuong mask drawing and its dress codes. In addition, they will have the opportunity to have their photos taken in
Tuong costumes which will be available for hire at the event.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme
This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
