Tuy Loan Village Communal House Festival

The annual event aims to remind the younger generations of long-lasting traditions as well as to preserve and promote the village’s cultural identity.

A royal honour ceremony to confer diplomas, plus incense-offering and gift-giving ceremonies in commemoration of national heroes and ancestors will be held in the morning of 13 February.

Various folk games will be organised on the 2nd day of the festival.  Included will beboat races on the Tuy Loan River, and ‘bai choi’ (singing while acting as playing cards) performances combined with exciting activities to honour the traditional crafts of making ‘banh trang’ (rice paper) and ‘banh tet’ (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes).

Tulip Festival

The flower festival will have ‘Land of Colourful Flowers’ as its theme will turn Sun World Ba Na Hills into a little ‘Netherlands’, along with outstanding artistic performances.

More than one million colourful tulips will light up the Chua Mountain at the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort, providing an unforgettable experience for visitors.

More than 15 famous varieties of tulips will be on display, such as Flash Point, Green Dance, Indiana, Purple Valley and Negrita. The flowers have been imported directly from the Netherlands and grown in Da Lat City, which has ideal weather conditions for tulips to grow.

‘Colours of Year of the Pig 2019’ exhibition

Co-organised by the municipal Fine Arts Association and the Museum, the fine arts exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Year of the Pig 2019’ features over 50 works by 18 local painters. They varied their displayed works from oil paints to synthetic charcoal, watercolours, wood carving, and more.

Most of the displayed paintings take the inspiration from the pig because 2019 is Year of the Pig. In addition, there are paintings showcasing the beauty of women and spring flowers.

‘A Story of Ao Dai’ show

‘Ao Dai’ is the embodiment of the Vietnamese female beauty and charming, and it is national apparel symbol of the Vietnamese people.

With the purpose to bring a symbol of Vietnamese culture to visitors arriving in Da Nang, the Risemount Premier Resort Danang is proud to be the first place in the city to organise ‘A story of Ao Dai’ which is the show on tradditional Vietnamese long dresses and art performances of three regions in Viet Nam.

The show will be an art performance to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River, and high-rises. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing, and playing traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

Each of them showcases the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
