‘The Soul of Viet Nam’ traditional arts show

The 60-minute show is deeply imbued with distinctive cultural Vietnamese traditions, especially those of the Quang Nam – Da Nang land.

During the show, the audience will be offered a chance to discover the quintessence of Tuong traditional arts via popular extracts and typical make-up methods of this stage performing arts form.

Besides, arts lovers will be treated to the festive atmosphere of the rural area in the old days and immerse themselves into the melodies of such traditional Vietnamese musical instruments as monochord and lithophone consisting of pieces of rock which are struck to produce musical notes.

Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2019

The 4-day much-awaited event promises many interesting activities highlighting distinctive Japanese culture and fine arts. Included will be the traditional arts of origami (folding paper to make models), cosplay costume-wearing shows, calligraphy, flower arrangement, martial arts and Japanese-styled tea ceremonies.

In addition, there will be a seminar on Japanese tourism promotion in Da Nang, an international workshop on human resource training cooperation, a Japanese speaking contest and more. Such highly practical events aim to create opportunities for local youths and students to seek internship courses and jobs at Japan-based businesses, hereby, step by step, entering the labour market of this Northeast Asian country.

Besides, within the framework of the festival, a friendship football match between Da Nang’s youths and the Kawasaki Frontale club will be held.

Da Nang Paragliding Open 2019

Jointly organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the Da Nang Paragliding Club, this year’s event will take 'Flying over Tien Sa' as its theme.

The 3-day race is expected to attract a total of between 60 and 70 domestic and foreign fliers. The fliers will compete in accurate landing category for single and duo. They will take off at the Son Tra Peninsula which is considered as one of the most spectacular flying sites in Viet Nam.

Fine arts exhibition entitled ‘Memories of the Battlefield’

The exhibition featuring 64 sketches by martyr artist Ha Xuan Phong aims to mark the 72nd anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27 July).

These displayed works will provide visitors with a true perspective on the lives of residents and soldiers in the Battlefield Zone V, thereby paying their respect and gratitude to those who laid down their lives for national independence and reunion today.

Helio Summer Festival 2019

The festival features a bustling seafood street and night market where visitors can try a variety of delicious seafood dishes and street food. With more than 150 food stalls in total, the night market is expected to satisfy the requirements of gourmets.

Beer Festival - B’estival 2019

Inspired from Oktoberfest – the famous beer festival from Bavaria, Germany; B’estival of Sun World Ba Na Hills not only re-creates an exciting festivity scene but also enchants tourists with its own ‘concoction’.

A total of 1 million litres of beer, fine-assorted from the most well-known German breweries is bound to satisfy any beer-fanatic visitor.

The B’estival takes place at Du Dome Square, and Beer Plaza - a new venue designed exclusively for B’estival with capacity of over 3,000 seats.

‘A Story of Ao Dai’ show

‘Ao Dai’ is the embodiment of the Vietnamese female beauty and charming, and it is national apparel symbol of the Vietnamese people.

With the purpose to bring a symbol of Vietnamese culture to visitors arriving in Da Nang, the Risemount Premier Resort Danang is proud to be the first place in the city to organise ‘A story of Ao Dai’ which is the show on tradditional Vietnamese long dresses and art performances of three regions in Viet Nam.

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River, and high-rises. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing, and playing traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

Each of them showcases the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
