Exhibition entitled 'Da Nang Fine Arts 2019'

Co-organised by the Da Nang Fine Arts Association and the city-based Fine Arts Museum, the event aims to celebrate the 68th Traditional Fine Arts Day in Viet Nam  (10 December 1951 - 10 December 2019), and 62nd  birthday of the Viet Nam  Fine Arts Association (1957 - 2019).

Also, it is also an opportunity for the municipal Fine Arts Association to honour painters and sculptors for their outstanding works.

On display at the exhibition will be 50 arts works made from various materials by 36 painters and sculptors citywide.

Winter Festival 2019

On a journey to ‘The Land of Ice’ this winter, visitors will be greeted by funny reindeer flocks, witty snowmen and white snowflakes along the paths to open up your adventure with all the amazing things right from the gate.

At Du Dôme square, they will get surprised with the highest Christmas tree with the most glorious decorations. Take your selfies under the lovely poinsettias and ornaments.

Not only for its Christmas theme, Winter Festival 2019 will also attract visitors with 3 exciting art shows namely ‘Land in Mirror’, ‘Happy Land’, and ‘Snow Queen’ with the participation of many European artists. The three art shows will be performed at different time frames and locations from 10.00am - 2.30pm daily.

‘The Soul of Viet Nam’ traditional arts show

The 60-minute show is deeply imbued with distinctive cultural Vietnamese traditions, especially those of the Quang Nam – Da Nang land.

During the show, the audience will be offered a chance to discover the quintessence of Tuong traditional arts via popular extracts and typical make-up methods of this stage performing arts form.

Besides, arts lovers will be treated to the festive atmosphere of the rural area in the old days, and immerse themselves into the melodies of such traditional Vietnamese musical instruments as monochord and lithophone consisting of pieces of rock which are struck to produce musical notes.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River, and high-rises. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing, and playing traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

Each of them showcases the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.

Traveling with Frank on the ship was a murderer, who was extradited by the US government.
