‘Colours of Year of the Rat 2020’ exhibition
Co-organised by the Da Nang Fine Arts Association and the city-based Fine Arts Museum, a painting exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Year of the Rat 2020’ display over 40 works by local painters, and other 50 ones by local children. They varied their displayed works from oil paints to synthetic charcoal, watercolours, wood carving, and more.
Most of the displayed paintings take the inspiration from the rat because 2020 is Year of the Rat.

Spectacular fireworks shows to welcome in the Lunar New Year 2020
The city’s skyline will be lit up with 3 spectacular fireworks displays to welcome in the Lunar New Year on Lunar New Year’s Eve, which will fall on 25 January.
The 15-minute-long fireworks shows will take place at Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, the Kim Long Nam
Project’s vacant land area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administration Centre, and a vacant land area in front of the Hoa Vang District Administration Centre.
Spring Flower Festival 2020
During that period, as many as 1,000 bonsai works, rockeries, miniatures, and decorated stones will be displayed, whilst a photo exhibition about the city’s tangible and its intangible cultural heritages will be organised, at the park. Also at the park, a bird-singing contest and a number of musical performances will be organised.

‘The Soul of Viet Nam’ traditional arts show
The 60-minute show is deeply imbued with distinctive cultural Vietnamese traditions, especially those of the Quang Nam – Da Nang land.
During the show, the audience will be offered a chance to discover the quintessence of Tuong traditional arts via popular extracts and typical make-up methods of this stage performing arts form.
Besides, arts lovers will be treated to the festive atmosphere of the rural area in the old days, and immerse themselves into the melodies of such traditional Vietnamese musical instruments as monochord and lithophone consisting of pieces of rock which are struck to produce musical notes.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme
This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River, and high-rises. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing, and playing traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.
Each of them showcases the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
