Located in Phuoc Son Village, Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District, the lake is a reservoir which supplies water for the daily lives and agricultural production of local residents.

Visitors to the around 1,000ha Dong Xanh - Dong Nghe Lake will be impressed by dams surrounded by green grass and peaceful rice paddy fields, including the Dong Nghe largest dam which is 645m in length, 6m in width and 25m in height, and has a 2.4km2 reservoir.

The lake likes a giant mirror and it is clear and green around the year. Most specially, the year-round weather there is cool, so the lake becomes a great place for young people to conduct outdoor activities like riding bicycles, go boating, go fishing and camping.

Especially, when the sunset falls, visitors can enjoy relaxing and peaceful moments as seeing herds of buffaloes leisurely grazing at the foothill.

Besides, visitors can fly kites to rediscover their childhood memories, or walk across the rice paddy fields to temporarily escape the noise and bustle of city life.

The Dong Xanh-Dong Nghe Lake is the only place in the central region to have been selected by the Da Nang Rowing Team and the National Sports Centre No 3 as a training place for local rowers to prepare for rowing tournaments at national and international levels.

Most recently, the Hoa Vang District authorities have been making their efforts to appeal for domestic investors to develop eco-services in combination with holiday tourism such as going fishing, bathing in streams, and going boating.

Currently, the Toan Cau TMS JSC and Vingroup are showing their keen interest in building a golf course combined with a resort, and a botanical park at the lake.

Once the two projects are put into operation, the Dong Xanh -Dong Nghe Lake will become a can't-miss destination for visitors to Hoa Vang District.
