Array of exciting events in Da Nang to celebrate Reunification Day and Labour Day

An array of exciting events and activities will be held across Da Nang from April 23 until May 2 to celebrate the Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1) holidays.

On 23 April, the Da Nang Youth Union will organise an arts prorgamme at a public park located on a section of riverside Bach Dang Street, near the western end of the of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge (opposite the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture).  The event will offer the opportunity for young people in Da Nang to show off their talent through their performances such as hip hop, flash mob, folk and modern dances.

On April 24, a street carnival of live music and dancing co-hosted by the Da Nang Culture and Movie Centre, the Da Nang- based Junior College of Culture and Arts and the Son Tra District authorities will take place on Tran Hung Dao street. On the same day, a street music show dedicated to the music-loving public will be held by the Da Nang Culture and Movie Centre on the sidewalk of riverside Bach Dang Street near the Rong Bridge.

On April 25, Tuong (classical drama) street show will take place at a public park located on a section of riverside Tran Hung Dao Street, near the eastern end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge. The audience will be treated to impressive Tuong performances by artistes from the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre. The theatre's artistes will stage a different traditional classical drama and classical concerts. On the evening of the same day will see a musical show hosted by the Trung Vuong Theater at a semicircle of Bach Dang Street.

On April 27, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will present a sketch exhibition carrying its theme of "Da Nang after its liberation and at present". The exhibition will introduce visitors to 35 works created in 1975 by the late painter Nguyen Duc Hanh, and 25 others by Da Nang students. The event will give visitors a panoramic view of Da Nang 46 years ago, and the city with remarkable changes at the present.

On the same day, local residents and tourists can go to a public park located on a section of riverside Bach Dang Street, near the western end of the of the Rong Bridge (opposite the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture) to enjoy a fantastic music show.

On the evening of April 29 will see an arts programme carrying its theme of Clearwater Revival at the Trung Vuong Theatre as part of Da Nang’s activities to promote the ‘Building Da Nang into an Environmentally-friendly City’ project.

The arts programme will present impressive music performances and circus show featuring Viola Nguyet Thu- international artist, and circus performers from Ha Noi, and more.

On April 30, the 13rd gathering of clubs of Honda 67 lovers nationwide will take place at the Da Nang Convention and Exhibition Centre. On the same day, the Yamaha Motor Expo Music Show will be held at a public park located on a section of riverside Tran Hung Dao Street, near the eastern end of the Rong Bridge in Son Tra District.

On the evening of the same day, ‘Rap Show’, the largest of its kind in Da Nang, will take place at the Asia Park, 1 Phan Dang Luu Street, at 8:00pm on April 30, promising an array of wonderful Rap - Hip Hop performances for local revellers.

The upcoming event, for the first time in the city, will feature a series of the most famous Rap stars in the Vietnamese showbiz such as Binz, Wowy, Di Cho Cho, Mck - Tlinh, Gducky, Ricky Star, Yuno BigBoi, Lona Kieu Loan, HieuThu2, Mia and Bach Cong Khanh.
