A miniature Vietnamese cultural museum at Naman Retreat

The Boutik Shop is dubbed a miniature Vietnamese cultural museum at Naman Retreat located on Truong Sa Street, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Mr. Tran Minh Quan, Marketing Manager of the Naman Retreat said, besides its own gallery of ancient ceramics made in the Ly, Tran, and Le dynasties, Naman Retreat comes up with the idea of ​​building Boutik Shop as a miniature museum.

Not only offering unique souvenirs, Boutik Shop is an interesting place for visitors to stop in their discovery journeys at Naman Retreat so as to learn about the unique culture of the Vietnamese people.

On display at the about 210m2 shop are artifacts imbued with Vietnamese culture throughout the 4,000-year history. Included are Trong Dong (Bronze drum) - one of the symbols for the early development of the ancient Vietnamese civilisation, royal robes for the ancient Vietnamese kings and queens, remade in small sizes, which were the gift souvenirs for APEC leaders who visited Naman Retreat in 2017, and a collection of antique ceramics made during Han-Viet period.

Most prominent among the antiques associated with Vietnamese culture is a pot of lime which was considered as the God of Wealth who brought good luck to house owner.

A painting about four fairies getting dressed in ‘Ao Tu Than’ (four-flap dress) and ‘Non Quai Thao’ - a kind of string for hats made of special silk is also displayed at Boutik Shop.

In addition, there are many arts works made by Vietnamese artists, plus handmade decorations or many local products made from bamboo and wood.

Mr. Dao Minh Hung, 45, a tourist from Nha Trang, said that he got lost in the Boutik Shop miniature museum during his stay in Naman Retreat. At the shop, he both bought unique souvenirs for his friends and experienced the culture from precious antiques dating back thousands of years.
