Those who fall in love with boiled snails in Ha Noi’s West Lake or Ninh Binh-style ‘bun cha quat’ (vermicelli with grilled pork and fresh herbs) can visit the Moc Garden, located at 177 Chinh Huu, An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District, to feel the familiar flavours of northern localities right in the heart of Da Nang.

Mrs. Trang, the owner of the Moc Garden Restaurant, said that her restaurant serves many delicious dishes, but the most attractive are still boiled ‘oc mit’ and ‘oc van’ thanks to their thick, sweet and crunchy meat, and characteristic aroma.

“Snails are boiled with lemongrass, lime leaves and a little vinegar - a familiar spice of residents of northern provinces. The time to boil the snails is not too long in order to ensure the crispness, sweetness and easy opening. To make the dish full of flavour, it is served with sweet and sour fish sauce fragrant with ginger, lemongrass, chili, and lime leaves” Mrs. Trang added.

In addition to boiled snails, ‘bun cha quat’ retains the pure flavour of the famous dish of Ninh Binh. For gourmets, just by looking at the layout, you can immediately know the origin of delicious dishes.

Mrs. Trang said, unlike grilled pork belly or grilled meatballs like Ha Noi-style ‘bun cha’, Ninh Binh-style dish features ‘cha thit’ is made from minced meat arranged in large rectangular pieces and grilled with charcoal. The accompanying vermicelli is tightly pressed, and cut into bite-sized pieces.

In addition, the restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, including grilled beef, grilled pork satay, ‘nem chua ran’ (fried fermented pork roll), and chicken feet with lemongrass.

In order to bring attractive meals, Moc Garden also serves drinks suitable for young people's taste such as fruit tea, milk tea and soda of different flavours.
