Attractive 3 No's sweet soup shop
Having operated for more than 35 years, the Ong Cuc (Mr Cuc) ‘che’ sweet soup shop located at 918 Tran Cao Van, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang, has become a familiar address for many people in Da Nang. In addition to the menu of more than 30 ‘che’ types, Ong Cuc also helps diners feel secure with the 3 No’s processing principle: no chemical sugar, no artificial flavours/colours, and no preservatives.

The soft, fragrant beans combined with the rich taste of coconut milk make the bean sweet soup at Ong Cuc shop memorable. For many years, the bean sweet soup here has retained the traditional recipe of soft, non-mushy red beans, served with grass jelly, tapioca flour, coconut milk and a little crispy, fragrant dried coconut. In the 80s, each cup of bean sweet soup was sold at the shop at VND 500 - VND 1,000 and now it only fluctuates at VND 12,000 so that everyone can comfortably enjoy the cup of bean sweet soup that made Ong Cuc brand.
In addition, the restaurant's menu has many choices such as Thai sweet soup, whole durian sweet soup, mixed sweet soup, grapefruit sweet soup, chewy sweet potato sweet soup, ‘xoa xoa’ sweet soup, coconut sweet soup, purple sticky rice yogurt... In particular, Thailand-styled sweet soup has a unique flavour when the durian is cooked into a thick, chewy and fragrant juice. Mixed with the durian juice are colorful jellies such as coconut jelly, agar jelly, jackfruit seeds, ripe jackfruit and longan rice...
When enjoying, people can easily feel the delicate blend of flavours, such as the sweet aroma of durian, ripe jackfruit, the crunchiness of jelly, longan and the fat of coconut milk. Not to mention, the whole durian sweet soup is also a notable highlight on the menu. By using whole durian, the sweet soup retains the natural chewiness, sweetness, aroma and attractiveness of this expensive fruit.
