The talk was held at an initiative of Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau, with Viet Nam being the coordinating country of ASEAN-EU dialogues.

Chau stressed that ASEAN members need to strengthen efforts to achieve regional connectivity in security, economic and social areas in order to promote growth and investment between the two blocs towards establishing a free trade area in the future.
