Fourteen children and a teacher were killed Friday after a bus taking them on a school trip in central Thailand was hit by a truck and crashed into a tree, police said.

Fifty-five people were injured in the accident early Friday in Nadi district of Prachinburi province, said Lt. Siriwat Viengvitha, a police official. The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals.
