The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) announced on June 13 that it revoked the country’s youngest carrier Rayani Air’s operating license for breaching aviation regulations.
According to the MAVCOM, Rayani Air will not be allowed to operate as a commercial airline due to their infringements of aviation regulations, insufficient financial capacity and management.

Besides this, the authority requested the airline to return air fares for passengers who booked the airline’s tickets earlier. If Rayani Air fails to accomplish its responsibilities, they could be sued.
The decision came after the MAVCOM carried out an overall evaluation on the airline.
The carrier launched its operation last December with domestic flights.
