Myanmar President begins visit to China
Myanmar President U Htin Kyaw arrived in Chengdu, capital of the southwestern province of Sichuan, on April 6, beginning his six-day visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He was accompanied by a delegation of more than 30, including ministers of commerce and construction.
The Myanmar President will meet with Chinese leaders to boost bilateral relations and cooperation.
China is the largest trading partner of and the biggest source of foreign funding for Myanmar, with Chinese investment accounting for 26.57 percent of total foreign investment in the Southeast Asian nation.
Myanmar’s State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi had a five-day official trip in China last August. On the occasion, two sides agreed to bolster China-Myanmar relations.
