A military information team spokesman said the wreckage, along with several bodies, was found at 8:25 am on June 8 (local time).
Earlier, a Myanmar air force source said the naval rescue force had discovered debris from the plane in the Andaman Sea.
Myanmar military and airport sources said the aircraft carried 116 people, including 105 passengers and 11 crewmembers, from Myeik city to Yangon. It lost contact when it was about 32km west of Dawei city.
According to the military source, bad weather might be the cause of the incident. But, the exact cause of the incident can only be confirmed once the aircraft’s black box is recovered.
