The Thai junta has postponed elections several times since it came to power following a coup in 2014.
The latest date was set for November 2018 but last month, the military-appointed legislature changed the election law, signaling a further delay.
On 22 February, the National Legislative Assembly voted down all candidates for the new Election Commission (EC), a move that will force the search process to start anew.
The search for new EC members must complete within 90 days.
