The organisers said the opening ceremony on 9 March was attended by 21,000 people, while 105,966 people purchased tickets for the first 3 days of competition. They said 90% of available tickets for the PyeongChang Paralympics have been sold.
According to International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons affirmed: "Athletes are thriving on the energetic support from the crowds and are delivering some exceptional performances as a result."
As the sport event has grasped the interest of the athletes, countries and media, he hoped that ticket sales will increase with 6 days of competition ahead.
