Indonesia: Medical personnel ready for ASIAD 2018
About 1,400 doctors and health workers in Indonesia are ready for the 18th Asian Games (ASIAD 18), which will take place in the country from 18 August to 2 September.

Indonesian Health Minister Nila Moeloek said 21 hospitals, 98 medical stations, 21 clinics and 25 ambulances are prepared to support the regional Games. The numbers of hospitals and ambulances may increase based on demand.
All the personnel and equipment will be sent to host localities, namely Jakarta capital city and Palembang city of South Sumatra province, she added.
Around 11,000 athletes and officials from 45 countries and territories are expected to attend the ASIAD 18.
It will feature 462 categories of 40 sports, with 32 Olympic sports and eight non-Olympic, including bowling, diving, ice skating, kabaddi, squash and sepak takaw, along with mechanical sports like jet skiing and paragliding and martial arts such as jujitsu, kurash, pencak silat, sambo and wushu.
Indonesia hosted the ASIAD in 1962 and the Southeast Asian Games in 2011.
