The government will lift a ban on some political activity by parties between September and December this year. But a ban on campaigning will remain during that period, the Deputy PM said.
On 19 June, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said the election will be held after King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s coronation. However, no date has yet been set.
King Maha Vajiralongkorn took over the throne after his father King Bhumibol Abdulaydej passed away in 2016, but an official coronation has yet to be held.
