Myanmar flight makes emergency landing due to windshield crack

A domestic flight of Myanmar’s Yangon Airways has made an emergency landing due to a crack at its windshield after taking off from Mandalay airport.

The flight ATR-22 with 26 passengers, five crews and two security personnel aboard reported a crack at its windshield on the right side while it was en route from Mandalay to Myitkyina in the morning of 10 July, according to the Home Affairs Ministry of Myanmar.
The accident forced the plane to return and make an emergency landing.
The passengers were transferred to another plane to continue their trip to Myitkyina the same day.
