Addressing a parliamentary meeting in Kuala Lumpur on November 19, Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said that the system has made the bidding activities more convenient compared to the current one.
One of the highlights of the system is that it allows people to find the bidding price in the system, thus allowing them to give their own prices. The winner will be announced to the public.
Meanwhile, the online system will save time for people in submitting their bidding documents.
Anthony said that the system is expected to be available in three to six months, adding that the ministry will ask for consultations from the agencies in charge of making management plans and modernising the administrative system.
He revealed that the system will be completed and put into operation in early 2019.
