Myanmar recently decided to grant Indian travellers visa-on-arrival (VoA) with a view to luring travellers from the southern Asian country.

Indian passport holders will get the VoA at Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyi Taw for a fee of 50 USD. The relaxation will allow Indians to go there without applying for Myanmar visa at the Myanmar Embassy in India or applying for the country’s e-visa beforehand.
Earlier this year, Myanmar and India had also signed the land-border crossing agreement, which opened the doors to tourists travelling by road with two entry-exit checkpoints, the Tamu-Moreh and Rikhawdar-Zowkhawtar border.
