Indonesia has officially entered the race to become the 2032 Olympic Games host after submitting a letter to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Indonesia’s news agency Antara quoted the country’s Ambassador to Switzerland Muliaman D. Hadad as saying that: "The IOC has recognised Indonesia's capability while organising the 2018 Asian Games and Para Games that were successful.”
“I think this is quite a strong foundation," he added.
If the archipelago nation wins the opportunity to host the 2032 Summer Olympics, it would become the fourth Asian country to do so, after Japan, China and the Republic of Korea.
The IOC will pick the 2032 host by the year 2025.
Tokyo of Japan, Paris of France, and Los Angeles of the US are respectively the Olympic Games hosts for 2020, 2024, and 2028.
