RoK's National Security Council meeting discusses US-DPRK Summit
The Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on 21 February convened a meeting of the National Security Council’s standing committee to intensify understanding with related nations to help organise the upcoming DPRK-USA Ha Noi Summit Viet Nam successfully.
Under the chair of Chung Eui-yong, top national security advisor for President Moon Jae-in, participants also discussed other issues such as the formation of an inter-Korean athlete delegation to attend Olympic Tokyo 2020, and the two countries’ co-hosting of Summer Olympic 2032.
They reviewed the outcomes of the International Olympic Committee’s inter-Korean meeting held at its headquarters on 15 February.
The participants also agreed to take measures to help push the establishment of an inter-Korean athlete delegation to attend the Olympic Tokyo 2020, and the co-hosting of the Summer Olympic 2032.
The second DPRK-US Summit is slated from 27 - 28 February in Ha Noi.
