ADB acts against COVID-19 after patient's visit

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced on March 12 that it will shut down its headquarters in Manila, the Philippines for cleaning and disinfecting, after one of its visitors was tested positive for the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

Bank operations will continue with ADB staff working from home but it was uncertain when the compound will reopen.
ADB Vice President for Administration and Corporate Management Deborah Stokes said the safety of clients, staff and their families is of utmost importance to the bank.
The bank is also providing support for staff who contacted with the visitor.
