Indonesia, Malaysia record new COVID-19 cases

Indonesia and Malaysia reported new cases of COVID-19 on 4 November.  In Indonesia, the increase was 3,356, bringing up the total national tally to 421,731.

The death toll climbed to 14,259 with the addition of 113 deaths on the day, said the country’s Health Ministry.

Also on the day, 3,785 COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear, raising the total number of recoveries to 353,282.

The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has spread across all 34 Indonesian provinces and cities.

Meanwhile, Malaysia reported 1,032 new COVID-19 cases, including three imported infections. The number of cases in the nation amounted to 35,425, including 271 deaths.

As many as 24,815 or 70 percent of the total cases have recovered so far.
