Gas prices creep up, RON95 exceeding VND24,000/litre

Petrol prices crept up by more than VND700 per litre from 3:00pm on Thursday following the latest adjustment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, the retail price of E5RON92 was revised up by VND729 to VND23,219 per litre, while that of RON95-III rosed by VND741 per litre to VND24,284 per litre.

Similarly, the prices of diesel, kerosene and mazut went up VND465, VND560 and VND667 to VND21,014 per litre, VND21,266 per litre and VND17,099 per kg respectively.

With this price adjustment, the ministries decided not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund.

Since the beginning of the year, domestic fuel prices have seen 12 adjustments, with 7 up and 5 down.

In total, each litre of RON95-III gasoline is VND2,370 higher than that of the beginning of the year, whilst the average oil price is VND1,650 higher.
