UK organisation to help building Craniofacial Surgery Faculty
The UK Facing the World organisation will help to establish a Craniofacial Surgery Faculty at the Da Nang General Hospital.
This statement was made by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organisation, Mr Niall Kirkpatrick, during his meeting on Thursday with Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet.
Mr Kirkpatrick thanked the city authorities for their active support for his organisation over the past 7 years. In addition, he highly praised local doctors and nurses for their professional skills, and pledged to provide more training courses to improve their skills further. A focus will be on introducing medical technologies to local hospitals, and giving treatment to local AO-affected children and those with birth defects.

To mark this occasion, Mr Viet presented a Certificate of Merit from the municipal PC to Mr Kirkpatrick in recognition of his significant contributions in local humanitarian activities.
Facing the World is a unique UK charity that exists to provide life-changing craniofacial surgery to children with severe facial disfigurements who cannot be treated in their home countries. Since 2008, the organisation has implemented its charity and humanitarian activities at the Da Nang General Hospital.
